Japan often called as “Land of Rising Sun” because of the meaning itself “sun origin”. Located in the Pacific Ocean, and an island nation in East Asia. They refer themselves as Nihonjin, while their languages is Nihongo.

Japan is popular of their comic book format called manga; a combination of woodlock printing and  Western art. As such, Anime was created.  

Known for their traditional Japanese female entertainers called Geisha, Geiko or Geigi. They perform various Japanese arts including music, dance, games to entertain male guest. The white make-up, kimono and hair of a maiko is the image of geisha.

Modern days, Japan transformed into the world of fashion rapidly. Fashion in Tokyo is much more when it comes to street style. They are much particular in colorful, layered and cutting-edge look. Japanese Street fashion we’re likely to be spotted more in Shibuya and Harajuku. Each season the fashion styles change so you must be updated or else you will be left behind.

A popular culture also created in Japan in a form of Cosplay, they wear costumes and fashion accessories to portray a specific character or idea. It is a performance arts and they called themselves Cosplayers. They wear costumes, which create a subculture centered and role play. The sources are mainly from manga and anime, comic book and cartoons, video games and live-action films. People engage as their hobby and become popular in Japan, and some other parts of Asia and western world.
